We celebrated Women’s History Month with Her Spotlight: Afro-Caribbean Women in Leadership - Power, Impact & Representation, a dynamic panel by Haitian Spotlight highlighting the journeys and impact of Afro-Caribbean women across media, business, and music.

On February 14th, Konpa Night set the stage for love and rhythm, with lanmou nan lè a and the dance floor full of energy. Dressed in red and ready to impress, guests celebrated romance, connection, and sparks in the air—whether they came with a partner or found love on the dance floor.

Summer wrapped up in style at the final Konpa Night of the season, held on the rooftop at Broken Shaker. From 6–10PM, guests danced the evening away, soaking in the vibes, music, and unforgettable rooftop energy.

Konpa in Cali brought the energy with Konpa lessons by Joelle Joseph, followed by the best Haitian hits all night long with DJ Trip on the decks. Whether guests came with a partner, their crew, or solo, it was a night full of rhythm, connection, and nonstop dancing.

Haitian Flag Day weekend lit up Downtown LA as we honored Haiti’s legacy and brought together the African and Caribbean diaspora in celebration. From Konpa to Afrobeats, bold flags to powerful stories, the night was filled with vibrant energy, meaningful conversations, and shared pride.

The first Konpa Night of 2025 at Prank Bar in DTLA brought the community together for an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and cultural celebration. With DJ Trip setting the vibe and Joelle Joseph leading Konpa lessons, the night was filled with energy, connection, and nonstop dancing.

he 2nd Annual Haitian Impact Awards in Los Angeles celebrated outstanding Haitian change-makers across the U.S. on December 10, 2024. Guests enjoyed a formal evening of recognition, delicious Haitian cuisine, and vibrant live performances.

Haitian Spotlight Los Angeles, in collaboration with SakPase California and The Tribe Entertainment, brought the community together for an unforgettable evening celebrating Haiti’s rich heritage. Guests enjoyed vibrant music, dance, live performances, and delicious Haitian and African cuisine, creating a night full of culture, connection, and pride.

What an incredible evening Konpa night was! It was filled with music, food (shout out to Restoranlakay for the Haitian Pate!!), drinks, and an undeniable sense of community. Whether you were a seasoned Konpa dancer, or a newcomer to the dance floor, we're thrilled that you could join us for an unforgettable celebration of Haitian culture.

We are still buzzing with excitement as we reflect on the incredible turn out and energy that made the 1st Annual Haitian Impact Awards an unforgettable night! The dance floor came alive to the rhythm of Mass Explosion's live music, and DJ Trip kept us grooving all night long with beats that resonated with the spirit of celebration.

Haitian Spotlight premiered its first spotlight event series celebrating Haitan culture with Haitian American rising stars, International Music Artist Naïka, and Actor Jean-Elie.

Haitian Spotlight LA took their talents to Brooklyn, NY for Tribeca Film Festival, to celebrate the world premiere of “Konpa”.
